Job description

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Electrical, Energy)

Job Description

Coordinates and manages the completion packages related to system, unit, and plant turnover program for an HVDC Transmission project. Must be capable of independently managing the gathering of documents into the format acceptable to the owner. Interacts with Samsung management, OEM technical advisors, and project staff to ensure successful documentation and turnover of the UAE HVDC Project Lightning.

  1. Prepare the scoping drawing and break down the plant equipment into subsystem levels.
  2. Prepare detailed subsystem turnover packages as provided by the commissioning engineer.
  3. Review and organize engineering, commissioning, and OEM vendor information into the designated turnover packages.
  4. Maintain the overall punchlist and report progress to support the project timeline.
  5. Review and organize commissioning and start-up records.
  6. Coordinate independently with Samsung engineering and OEM contacts for information gathering.
  7. Prepare commissioning documents such as site test procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  8. Prepare permit workpack documents to support commissioning activities.
  9. Prepare progress reports based on site activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Excellent understanding of power plant, substation, and transmission system documentation related to turnover processes.
  • Strong knowledge of project technical specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to review multi-discipline drawings and documents (mechanical, electrical, control systems).
  • Ability to review OEM supplier drawings and information.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience in commissioning turnover management for power plants, substations, or transmission projects.
  • Knowledge of commissioning activities, procedures, and permit applications.
