System Integration Application Engineer

Our Engineering Transformation team works to improve the quality of our engineering processes.

As a System Integration Application Engineer, you will develop creative and robust solutions and turn them into effective proposals for Baker Hughes's customer base.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing technical proposals for rotating equipment (auxiliary systems) and participating in negotiations regarding solutions, costs, etc.
• Developing attractive technical proposals within deadlines, including equipment selection, using ITO tools, following policies, and implementing innovative technologies.
• Leading techno-commercial discussions with clients on configuration, performance, and economics, while collaborating with sales teams.
• Applying product and quality policies, addressing risks per company procedures.
• Presenting technical strategies to senior leaders to support winning proposals.
• Documenting communications, specifications, and rationales to ensure a smooth handoff to the Order To Remittance team.
• Facilitating effective communication within the organization and across functions.
• Developing cross-technology solutions and working on cross-functional projects to deliver technological innovations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of application engineering experience.
• Experience working closely with sales and commercial teams on technical proposals for centrifugal compressors, including design and equipment selection.
• Experience in techno-commercial roles such as DTI, with at least 5 years in rotating equipment design, selection, and complex requisition activities.
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Capability to manage multiple initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Strong problem-identification and solution skills, with proven analytical and organizational abilities.
