Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United Arab Emirates seeks a design engineer to configure and commission substation SCADA systems, design and validate integrated substation control and communication networks, and support local and remote control and HMI visualization.

You will develop engineering studies and design documents, maintain project timelines, train customers on SE products, troubleshoot issues, and help grow customer relationships while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Communication, and electrical power engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent English (verbal & written) mandatory.
• French language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Travel required, including potential international travel.

Your Role

Magic happens when you bring great people together. Design engineer configure and commission of substation SCADA system. Design engineer and validate Integrated substation control amp Communication network to support local and remote control amp HMI and visualization of control. Assist in developing moderately complex engineering studies specifications design documents and performance assessments. Continue developing skills and competencies by delivering more complex projects and through participation in standard working groups and technical conferences. Maintain project timelines and Scheduling. Direct involvement with power utility communication and substation automation systems along with time synchronization cybersecurity and other digital substation related topics. Develop and deliver training for SE products both in person and with webinars. Troubleshoot technical problems for customer and sales support. Manage and develop application notes and lesson learnt. Perform system testing with the customer at staging area. Perform commissioning amp startup activities. Interface directly with clients. Assist in developing maintaining and improving customer relationships. Support the business development.
