Systems Engineer
Technical Expert:
Acts as the primary authority on the design, implementation, and optimization of building systems, including HVAC, security, energy management, and building automation systems (BAS).
System Integrator:
Ensures seamless integration of diverse systems to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
Problem Solver:
Identifies and resolves complex technical challenges related to facility systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Innovator:
Recommends and implements advanced technologies and sustainable solutions to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
Compliance Specialist:
Ensures all systems meet industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies for safety and performance.
Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement system designs for HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems in line with project requirements.
Plan and execute the integration of building automation systems to ensure seamless operation across facilities.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost estimates for new systems or upgrades.
System Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor the performance of facility systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet established benchmarks.
Analyze system data and provide insights for operational improvements and cost reductions.
Implement control strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Oversee regular inspections and preventive maintenance of systems to prevent downtime and maintain operational integrity.
Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions promptly to minimize disruption to facility operations.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for system repairs or upgrades as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with facility management teams, clients, and other stakeholders to identify system needs and address technical challenges.
Provide technical guidance and training to facility staff on system operation and maintenance.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all systems comply with local, national, and international safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with facility systems.
Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, upgrades, and maintenance activities for regulatory purposes.
Innovation and Sustainability:
Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in facility systems.
Recommend and implement sustainable technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints.
Develop strategies to align system performance with the company’s sustainability goals.
Duties:
Develop and oversee the implementation of system specifications and design layouts.
Supervise the installation and commissioning of new systems to ensure they meet project requirements.
Conduct performance tests and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of facility systems.
Manage system upgrades and expansions to accommodate facility growth or new operational demands.
Respond to emergency situations, such as system failures, and implement immediate corrective actions.
Ensure the availability of backup systems and disaster recovery plans for critical operations.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and essential tools to ensure quick repairs and replacements.
Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines for system-related initiatives.
Regularly train facility management teams on the use and maintenance of installed systems.
Evaluate and select vendors and suppliers for system components and services.
Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory):
Preferred fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master’s Degree (Optional but Advantageous):
Specializations in Facilities Management, Systems Engineering, or Project Management.
Experience and Skills:

Proven experience in designing, installing, and managing systems like HVAC, security, and energy management systems.
