For our office in Dubai, we are looking for

System Assurance Manager - 100% (m / f)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in systems assurance, quality assurance, or safety management in the transportation industry, preferably in metro / rail projects and operations. The candidate should be comfortable leading a team, working within the senior management team, and able to face clients when needed, presenting and managing the status of the work. We seek someone with a track record of managing and producing all aspects from RAM, System Safety, Configuration Management, Requirement Management, EMC, Human Factors & Ergonomics, Fire Life Safety, VTA & Security Management with a support team.

Responsibilities :

1. You will be the go-to Systems Assurance person in the team.
2. Responsible for the overall system assurance program.
3. Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment (HAZID / HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level Assessment (SIL), Functional Safety Assessment, Safety Verification and Validation management, Development of Safety Cases (Design / Final / Operation), RAM Modelling and Prediction Analysis (Reliability Block Diagram RBD), Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Analysis, RAM Demonstration Test Planning & execution, Failure Recording Analysis Corrective Systems (FRACAS) planning and execution, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Defect Liability Period (DLP) Planning and Execution, Availability Modelling, and other RAMS studies and analysis.
4. Experience in applying systems assurance standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508, etc.
5. Understanding of the complete life cycle of railway transportation projects.
6. Functional understanding of rail systems including rolling stock (locomotives, wagons, passenger trains), signalling & train control, traction power, track works, platform screen doors, automatic fare collection, depot equipment, operation control centres, building automation, electrical and mechanical services, civil and architectural works.
7. Analytical mindset with excellent verbal & written English communication skills and ability to interact with non-specialist team members.
8. Willingness to work collaboratively with clients and flexibility to perform various tasks related to RAMS.
9. Review and acceptance of RAMS deliverables.
10. Willing to travel throughout the Middle East and India.
11. Strong self-time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
12. Flexible attitude to balance workload and deadlines.

Requirements :

1. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree with relevant experience. Membership of professional institutions is preferable.
2. Overall experience of 10 to 15 years, with at least 7 years in RAMS on rail systems.
3. Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility, human factors, fire safety, lifecycle cost analysis, software and security management.
4. Hands-on experience with system assurance and engineering software tools like Isograph Reliability Workbench, Isograph Availability Workbench, and requirement management tools like Comply Pro.
5. Experience in the Middle East or offshore markets is highly regarded.
6. Experience with mainline freight, passenger railway, or metro/LRT systems.
7. Understanding of requirement and configuration management in RAMS context.
8. Proficiency in MS Office and specialized software tools.
9. Middle East experience is preferred.
