Job summary

Qualifications

Overview

The Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Switchgear Field CAD Engineer to join our team on a monthly pay basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying CAD drawings for Low Voltage (LV) switchgear systems, based on field conditions and technical input provided by our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings and layouts for LV switchgear systems in compliance with project specifications.
• Work directly with the engineering and project teams to understand requirements and convert them into accurate drawings.
• Conduct site visits as needed to collect information, verify installations, and update as-built drawings.
• Make necessary modifications to existing CAD drawings based on feedback and field inputs.
• Ensure that all drawings meet industry standards and project deadlines.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers throughout the design and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Low Voltage switchgear systems.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on-site as required.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand technical inputs.
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
