About the Role

A reputable international school in the UAE is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join their Physical Education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality swimming instruction, ensuring student safety, and helping build a strong competitive swim program.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and safe swimming lessons for students of all skill levels (beginner to advanced)
• Develop swimmers’ technique, strength, endurance, and water confidence
• Organize and lead school swim teams for competitions and inter‑school meets
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times in the pool area
• Coordinate with PE staff and leadership to support school‑wide fitness initiatives
• Assist in planning and executing school events, swim galas, and sports days
• Maintain swimming equipment and ensure cleanliness of the pool area

Requirements

• Certified Swimming Instructor / Coach (e.g., ASA, STA, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience coaching or teaching swimming in a school or club setting
• Strong classroom management and motivational skills
• Knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and training plans
• First Aid and Lifeguard certification (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
