SVP Team Leader - Sales Director (Private Markets)

Responsibilities

  1. Leading, overseeing and being held accountable for the capital raise for each Division Product, which shall include, but is not limited to:
    1. Attending orientation calls and other product trainings to understand, be able to explain and accurately pitch each product;
    2. Understanding and ensuring the enforcement of all contractual obligations of Greenstone in relation to each product;
    3. Understanding and ensuring the enforcement of all regulatory obligations of Greenstone in relation to the marketing of each product;
    4. Establishing, or ensuring the establishment of, regional marketing strategies for each product;
    5. Overseeing the scheduling of meetings for Greenstone's Clients with regional investors in line with Greenstone targets and best practices for each roadshow;
    6. Ensuring the successful execution of all such meetings;
    7. Ensuring the completion of a timely, comprehensive and systematic follow up process and appropriate reporting (both internally and externally) following the completion of each meeting;
    8. Driving the closing process for each lead generated;
    9. Attending, and ensuring attendance by Managed Employees of, weekly conference calls or meetings (both internally and externally) to discuss progress on each closing.
  2. Responsibility for ensuring the timely delivery, and content quality of all Fund Manager Partner communications related to their Division including but not limited to:
    1. Content and quality review of all Placement Summary Reports relating to their Division;
    2. Review marketing materials to ensure they are updated and current;
    3. Be the key liaison between all internal stakeholders and IRE in dealing with all Fund Manager Partner related issues;
    4. Ensure that all mandates are being operated as per Legal and Compliance approvals;
    5. Review of all Roadshow booklets and ensure they are distributed as per agreed timelines;
    6. Ownership for understanding, communicating and resolving fund manager partner complaints should they arise.
  3. Responsibility of supporting, developing and quality checking all outbound communications with investors:
    1. Review outbound emails (narrative and attachments) from managed employees and report to IRM;
    2. Track and report all outbound investor calls (weekly report);
    3. Track daily productivity of all verbal and written communications to investors via Salesforce;
    4. Monitor and report on the division's performance against key KPI's (daily, weekly, monthly);
    5. Provide accurate and quality data to all pipeline meetings and reports.
  4. Ensuring timely and efficient completion of all managed employee's duties:
    1. Managing and overseeing assigned employees within the Coverage division (known as 'managed employee');
    2. Working with the Co-Heads and Chief Investment Officer (collectively "IRE") to set both annual capital raising targets for each managed employee, as well as targets for the capital raise in relation to each product assigned to each managed employee;
    3. Overseeing orientation calls and other product trainings with managed employees;
    4. Overseeing and assisting each managed employee with the achievement of their targets; and being held to account for, and reporting to IRE reasons for, any failure of managed employees to achieve their targets;
    5. Enforcing and evaluating managed employee's performance against Greenstone standards for professionalism, attendance, and work performance, amongst others;
    6. Training, motivating and ensuring ongoing professional development of all managed employees;
    7. Making recommendations to IRE relating to hiring, compensation, training, certification, re-training, and terminations;
    8. Assisting with the hiring of additional staff;
    9. Accurate and timely reporting to Greenstone Management of relevant matters relating to managed employees.

The Right Candidate

Greenstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, outstanding candidates for this role will possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

  1. Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing talent and driving team performance;
  2. Proven experience as a member of senior management teams;
  3. Ability to establish effective and relevant strategic goals with company OKR's;
  4. Relevant experience selling financial products to investment organizations (such as SWFs, Institutional Investors, and/or Family Offices & Multi-Family Offices);
  5. Proficiency with private placements and alternative investment products, and able to quickly dissect and become astute on any given private equity fund and sub-strategies;
  6. Proficiency with economics;
  7. Ability to travel up to two weeks per month to conduct Roadshows in Oman, KSA, Kuwait, and Qatar;
  8. Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong and hands on;
  9. Ability to deal with and overcome investor complacency and rejection;
  10. Takes responsibility for results;
  11. Excellent organizational skills;
  12. Strong, detail-oriented analytical skills;
  13. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time;
  14. Self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  15. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  16. Strong work ethic and results-oriented mentality;
  17. Personal and professional integrity.
