Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist in Dubai to lead sustainability strategy across projects from concept to post-occupancy. You will drive certification submissions, embed sustainability across disciplines, and mentor junior staff within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a strong track record in LEED/Estidama/BREEAM, advanced energy modelling, and proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture with a sustainability focus.
Master's degree in Sustainable Design or Environmental Engineering is advantageous.
Minimum 8 years in sustainability consultancy with ME experience (4+ years in Middle East).
Proven LEED Gold/Platinum, Estidama 2 Pearl+, or BREEAM Very Good/Excellent track record.
LEED AP BD+C required; WELL AP / BREEAM AP / Estidama accredited professional desirable.
Chartered status (CEng, CEnv or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

Define and lead project sustainability strategies aligned with client goals and programs.
Develop and manage sustainability workshops, reviews, and charrettes with teams and clients.
Advise on passive design measures to reduce energy loads and improve comfort.
Lead certification submissions across LEED, Estidama, BREEAM, and WELL frameworks.
Coordinate energy modelling, daylighting, and carbon assessments for design optimization.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal sustainability guidelines and templates.
