A vibrant and upscale Sushi restaurant , food truck , is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely financial reporting for our restaurant business, contributing to the overall success of our company.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  Prepare and post journal entries.
  Analyze account balances and identify discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable:Process invoices, verify accuracy, and obtain necessary approvals.
  Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries.
  Prepare and process payments to vendors.
  Ensure proper coding and documentation of expenses.
  Accounts Receivable:Generate and send invoices to clients.
  Track and reconcile payments received.
  Manage aged receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Bank Reconciliations:Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Inventory Management:Track and reconcile inventory levels.
  Analyze food costs and identify areas for improvement.
  Assist with physical inventory counts.
• Financial Reporting:Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements.
  Prepare schedules and reports to support financial statements.
  Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing:Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  Prepare work papers and supporting documentation.
• Compliance:Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  Assist with audits and tax preparations.
• Other Duties:Provide support to other departments as needed.
  Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
