Job description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
  • Ensure food presentation and quality meet restaurant standards.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with suppliers for fresh ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to enhance the dining experience.
  • Stay updated on Japanese culinary trends and techniques.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in reputable Japanese restaurants in Dubai.
  • Must be currently residing in Dubai.
  • Strong knife skills and expertise in sushi and sashimi preparation.
  • Good command of English.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity in menu development and plating.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
