Job summary

The Specialist Surgical Oncologist is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based surgical management of patients with solid tumors within a multidisciplinary cancer care team in the UAE. The role includes clinical assessment, planning, operative management, and postoperative care, coordinating with medical, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and other specialties.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Specialist qualification recognized by UAE health authority.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Surgical Oncology preferred.
• Annual paid leave in accordance with UAE Labor Law and employment contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical management of solid tumors and oncological conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency oncological surgical procedures within scope.
• Coordinate preoperative assessment, informed consent, and perioperative planning.
• Postoperative care including wound management, pain control, nutrition, and discharge planning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE regulations.
