Support And Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Support and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems, software, and hardware. The ideal candidate will ensure minimal downtime, provide technical support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve software bugs and enhance system functionality.
• Document and track support tickets, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in installing, configuring, and upgrading IT infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure data security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on system usage and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for system maintenance and upgrades.
• Adhere to company IT policies and industry best practices in system support and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support, maintenance, or system administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist users effectively.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support when needed.
