Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Supply Chain Specialist to lead critical initiatives that improve sourcing, planning, and system integration. This role will focus on strengthening supplier networks, improving planning visibility, revising internal procedures for efficiency, and ensuring successful integration of ERP and WMS systems to automate procurement and inventory management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development
  • Identify and develop alternate suppliers for critical and high-risk items to reduce supply disruptions
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards
  • Develop a structured and reliable supply plan to support production schedules and minimize delays
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and inventory teams to ensure plan alignment and timely material availability
  • Ensure the SCM team shares a weekly payment calendar and a monthly PO calendar with finance and leadership to secure budget allocations and payment commitments
  • Support proactive alignment between procurement timelines and financial planning
  • Review and revise existing internal supply chain procedures to create shorter, more effective workflows
  • Implement lean practices and cross-functional coordination to reduce lead times and improve operational responsiveness
  • Drive the completion of ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvements
  • Lead the integration of both systems to automate inventory tracking and procurement processes
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and team adoption
  • Ensure timely and full execution of all initiatives as per defined timelines and expectations
  • Track KPIs and report progress to stakeholders regularly

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain or operations roles, with a focus on procurement, supplier management, demand planning, and process improvement
  • Proven ability to implement and manage systems, dashboards, and SOPs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP, planning systems, Power BI, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Note:

  • Contract Duration: 9 months (with potential for extension)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary
