A logistics and procurement solutions provider based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced professional to manage logistics and procurement activities. The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain management and logistics, with strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities include overseeing shipments, developing supply plans, and maintaining supplier databases. Applicants should have a technical background and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Logistics
• Deploy according to group internal standards for logistics and, where applicable, define and implement processes, procedures, and supporting systems for logistics management.
• Oversee handling of incoming international shipments, including customs clearance and transportation to relevant sites, following internal secured transportation guidelines.
• Oversee local deliveries of equipment, spare parts, and consumables, considering their sensitivity, including:
• Prepare and book export shipments based on inputs from Headquarters, including customs clearance and transportation to the departure airport, following internal secured transportation guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date information on:
• Elaborate a delivery plan between two O&S sites.
Forecasting
• Develop a supply plan with rolling 6-month forecasts for paper, consumables, spare parts, and liquids.
• Communicate forecasts to SICPA SA and/or local suppliers to support their planning.
Procurement
• Ensure timely and complete fulfillment of company needs by purchasing from SICPA SA and/or qualified suppliers, including issuing POs once PRs are approved.
• Maintain a vendor database with ratings and performance indicators.
• Deploy procurement processes locally in accordance with group standards.
• Ensure category-specific buying approaches align with overall procurement strategy.
Status Reporting
• Provide regular, detailed status reports to the Finance & Admin Manager on all supply chain activities.
Profile
• Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement and logistics management.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, and logistics best practices.
• Successful experience implementing and operating supply chain, procurement, and logistics practices in similar environments.
• Strong organizational, planning, and forecasting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Technical background (Electrical, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented, meticulous, and deadline-conscious.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle administrative tasks effectively.
• Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on quality and results.
• Willingness to work hands-on and take ownership of responsibilities.
