Job summary

Knauf GCC in Dubai is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to manage end-to-end demand, production, and material planning for gypsum boards, Ready Mix, and Profile plants. You will develop rolling forecasts, monitor forecast accuracy, and collaborate with Sales, Key Account teams, and procurement to ensure service levels and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years in demand or supply planning, a solid grasp of S&OP, ERP systems (SAP/Blue Yonder), and strong analytical skills with Excel and BI

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or Engineering.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in demand planning, supply planning and production planning.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting techniques and demand planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, Capacity planning and S&OP processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP and Blue Yonder), and tools (Excel, Power BI/Tableau).
  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust forecasts based on market intelligence; discounts and large project pipelines.
  • Translate market insights into actionable adjustments and provide early visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Key Account teams, as well as marketing.
  • Lead the Demand Review cycle within the S&OP process.
  • Consolidate and present demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Track forecast accuracy (MAPE, WMAPE) and Bias at SKU and aggregate levels.
  • Support inventory optimization by improving forecast reliability.

As Supply Chain Planner at Knauf GCC, you will be responsible for managing an end-to-end supply chain that integrates demand, production, raw material availability, and inventory to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effective inventory management while balancing capacity, and material constraints.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts (typically 3–18 months horizon).
  • Adjust forecasts based on market intelligence; discounts and large project pipelines.
  • Translate market insights into actionable adjustments and provide early visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Key Account teams, as well as marketing.
  • Lead the Demand Review cycle within the S&OP process.
  • Consolidate and present demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Track forecast accuracy (MAPE, WMAPE) and Bias at SKU and aggregate levels.
  • Support inventory optimization by improving forecast reliability.
  • Perform root cause analysis for forecast errors.
  • Maintain forecast data in Blue Yonder System.
  • Leverage analytical tools (Excel/Power BI/Tableau) for reporting and insights.
  • Translate demand plans into feasible production and material plans.
  • Lead supply review meetings, as part of the monthly S&OP process.
  • Create and maintain master production schedules (MPS) and line scheduling for gypsum boards, Ready Mix, and Profile plants.
  • Monitor plant capacity utilization and efficiency.
  • Ensure availability of key materials through collaboration with procurement team.
  • Set and manage safety stock levels for finished goods and critical raw materials.
  • Own and Track planning KPIs: service level (OTIF), Capacity utilization, inventory days, forecast accuracy (MAPE, WMAPE) and Bias.
  • Maintain planning parameters in SAP ERP/MRP system, while ensuring data accuracy (lead times, BOMs, production rates, safety stock).
What We’d Love For You To Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning, supply planning and production planning (preferably in building materials, or FMCG). Please note that this role requires candidates with 3–5 years of experience only; applicants with more extensive experience will not be considered.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting techniques and demand planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, Capacity planning and S&OP processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP and Blue Yonder), and tools (Excel, Power BI/Tableau).
  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills (Sales and commercial teams).
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
