Supply Chain Operations Lead - E-Commerce FMCG

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist / Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain processes for their assigned product categories. This includes ensuring accurate procurement, monitoring order accuracy, maintaining correct reorder levels, and optimizing stock days to prevent overstocking or shortages. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical, mathematical, and forecasting skills to drive supply chain efficiencies in a fast-moving fresh produce and e-commerce environment. Ability to to communicate effectively with line manager to provide updates, flag issues, and align on key supply chain decisions is mandatory.

  • Own the procurement process for assigned product categories, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
  • Check and validate the team’s purchase orders for accuracy in quantity, pricing, and supplier terms.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships.
  • Track supplier performance using KPIs on delivery accuracy, lead times, and quality compliance.
  • Determine optimal reorder levels, reorder frequency, and stock days based on demand patterns and supplier lead times.
  • Conduct stock analysis to ensure the right balance between availability and minimizing excess inventory.
  • Utilize data-driven forecasting models to predict demand trends based on historical sales and market insights.
  • Adjust procurement decisions dynamically to account for seasonality, promotions, and unexpected fluctuations.
  • Monitor sell-through rates, wastage levels, and stock turnover ratios to refine future procurement strategies.
  • Monitor order fulfillment accuracy, ensuring the right products are received, stored, and dispatched as per demand.
  • Investigate order mismatches, delays, and supplier errors, implementing corrective measures to avoid repetition.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, supplier agreements, and operational SOPs in procurement and stock management.
  • Track and analyze key supply chain metrics including stock days, reorder points, and demand accuracy.
  • Develop and present analytical reports on inventory trends, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Continuously improve procurement and inventory management processes through automation, data insights, and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field.

· Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or inventory planning, preferably in fresh produce or e-commerce.

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills to assess stock movements, order accuracy, and cost optimization.

· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

· Strong problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges and operational inefficiencies.

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management to liaise internal and external stakeholders.
