Supply Chain Manager

Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a Supply Chain Manager (Hospital / Healthcare group) for their client which is a multispecialty hospital in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for Supply Chain Managers with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience within a large hospital setting.

You will assist in the development and recommendation of the department operating budget and manage resources according to approved budget, implement policies and procedures for inventory control and issuance of supplies and equipment. Responsible for adequately maintaining inventory levels sufficient to meet customer needs within efficient and practical financial guidelines.

In collaboration with Risk Management, Infection Control and the Operating Room, oversee handling, assembly, distribution and storage of medical supplies and equipment requiring sterilization. Maintain records as required. Oversee Supply/Distribution/Receiving process. Coordinate internal processes to monitor movement of all deliveries throughout the hospital.

Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams and maintain effective working relationships with other departments. Participate on committees and represent the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.

Select, train, orient, and assign department staff. Develop standards of performance, evaluate performance, and conduct performance management planning. Initiate or make recommendations for personnel actions. Maintain ongoing communication with subordinates to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information. Supervise the maintenance and preparation of records, files and other documents.
