Job description

The Supply Chain Analyst will support Emerson’s strategic growth plan in MEA, performing day-to-day regional procurement and logistics activities. This role will focus on the specialized requirements of the metering skids industry, including navigating complex engineering requirements and ensuring procurement activities align with project specifications and timelines. The role requires collaboration with local and global teams across business units to implement supply chain improvement programs such as tactical sourcing, cost reduction, regionalization, supply optimization, and contract management. The position is based at MEA Headquarters in Dubai.

Responsibilities:
  1. Source various categories of indirect materials, including MRO and services, to deliver optimal total cost with minimal risk.
  2. Procure materials and components critical to metering skids (valves, flow meters, pressure sensors, instrumentation) at competitive prices, ensuring quality and profitability.
  3. Manage end-to-end RFx processes, maintain Opportunity/RFQ Tracker, Quote, and Approved Vendor List (AVL) repositories.
  4. Work with customers to document requirements and maximize the use of AVL and Preferred Supplier List (PSL).
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to verify technical specifications for metering skids and components.
  6. Negotiate with suppliers to increase value while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  7. Optimize payment terms and improve Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  8. Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration beyond transactions.
  9. Evaluate supplier capabilities for manufacturing precision metering components.
  10. Support procurement of services and materials, including market research, scope validation, contract development, and grievance resolution.
  11. Coordinate with legal for contract management to mitigate risks.
  12. Assist with logistics and MIC support for Global Sales MEA shipments.
  13. Manage customs requirements, permits, website memberships, and import/export documentation across MEA.
  14. Maintain accurate and accessible Master Data for logistics assets.
  15. Resolve procure-to-pay issues, including invoice and payment disputes.
  16. Uphold high standards of integrity and compliance with the Emerson Code of Ethics.
Candidate Profile:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in a matrix organization, preferably in oil and gas, chemical processing, or utilities sectors.
  • Proven supplier management and negotiation skills, especially with technical vendors.
  • Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a technical buyer, focusing on metering skids and instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in logistics, customs, and material movement.
  • Familiarity with e-sourcing platforms like SAP Ariba and ERP systems such as Oracle.
  • Professional certifications like CIPS, CIPP, PM, or CSCP.
