About the Role

Responsible for developing and executing the chemical supply plan by analysing sales forecasts, monitoring raw material availability, and coordinating with the production schedule to ensure uninterrupted supply and optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team and Planning Manager to collect and update chemical sales forecasts.
  • Analyse sales forecasts to generate accurate raw material supply plans.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing units to review production plans and inventory levels, ensuring effective stocking strategies are aligned with demand.
  • Work closely with production team leads to identify raw material shortages and prioritise replenishing through coordination with logistics.
  • Monitor and report key Supply Chain and Planning KPIs, including service levels, excess and obsolete stock, inventory days on hand, safety stock, and raw material delivery performance.
  • Generate supply planning reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage toll manufacturing activities by executing production plans and tracking toller performance.
  • Process intercompany stock transfer orders and generate RFQs based on monthly raw material needs.
  • Align regional volume requirements with the sales product forecast and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Oversee the full intercompany transfer order cycle, from purchase order creation to final delivery.
  • Perform weekly sales order analysis and update the supply plan accordingly for the sales team.
  • Coordinate with logistics, production, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate ERP records for intercompany transfers and ensure appropriate cost allocation to orders and projects.
  • Provide support in order management processes when required.
  • Report on supply planning activities, including intercompany transfers and unforecasted orders, to ensure alignment with the broader operational plan.
  • Partner with production and stores teams to conduct quarterly stock counts and support inventory reconciliation efforts.
  • Contribute to global supply network optimization by allocating production volumes to global manufacturing sites to achieve cost-efficiency and delivery targets.
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with all company QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Read and comply with METICHEM policies related to QHSSE, Product Stewardship, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support implementation and continual improvement of the BU QHSSE Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline, preferably in Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in planning, preferably in a chemical industry planning or production role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation; capable of preparing professional presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems in a production and planning environment is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
