Job summary

ADNOC Drilling is seeking a Mid-Level Maintenance Supervisor to plan, supervise and execute workshop maintenance, fabrication and repair work in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity while leading a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and about 5 years of supervisory experience in a large oil and gas environment. Expect strict adherence to HSE policies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 5 years of experience supervising workshop activities within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute the workshop maintenance activities, fabrication, and repair work to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.
• Plan, schedule, supervise and execute installation, maintenance, repair and testing of mechanical stationary equipment in workshop and plant.
• Supervise piping/structures fabrication and repair in workshop and site to ensure compliance with HSE and maintenance procedures.
• Organize and ensure availability of necessary equipment, inspect progress and report completion for quality execution.
• Review drawings and sketches for work orders to ensure accuracy and material specifications.
• Supervise the operation of the Tool Store to maintain stock levels.
• Train and develop staff to enable them to perform assigned tasks effectively.
• Provide inputs for department budgets and monitor variances.

Job Purpose

Plan, supervise and execute the workshop maintenance activities, fabrication, and repair work to ensure equipment availability, reliability and integrity.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Maintenance Planning and execution

• Ensure availability of required resources for workshop maintenance and repair, and schedule expectations to complete the job safely and in time.
• Plan, schedule, supervise and execute installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical stationary equipment in workshop and plant to ensure equipment availability and safe operations.
• Plan and supervise all piping/structures fabrication and repair of various parts in the workshop and site relating to metal craft, to ensure all the mechanical activities are in full compliance with HSE Management System, Integrity, Operation and Maintenance Procedure.
• Determine extent of work required and priorities and provide technical advice to the various specified craft groups and assign work to subordinates with appropriate instructions.
• Organize and ensure availability of the necessary equipment to carry out the work.
• Inspect / follow up tasks progress and final completion, and provide report to ensure timely and quality job execution
• Review drawings and sketches for work orders, to ensure accuracy specifications, measurements and materials.
• Supervise the operation of the Tool Store to ensure required stock is available at all times.

Materials Control

• Monitor availability of needed tools, equipment, and parts for scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare list of spares, tools and materials required for the maintenance jobs and issue the Purchase/Material requisitions. Inspect and confirm that the specifications are in line with the requirement of the received direct charge and stock Materials.

Supervision

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
• Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Reports

• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management

Minimum Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field
