Job description

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five‑star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About the Position

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time, maintaining proper uniform standards and name identification as required.
• Conduct daily briefing for colleagues in the department.
• Attend daily briefing with HK, PA Manager ensuring a complete understanding of tasks for self and team members.
• Champion the company values and objectives such as Colleague Engagement Survey and FORBES 5 Star Classification.
• Supervise and coordinate all colleagues ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operation are running as per Wynn Al Marjan Island’s standard procedures and policies.
• Supervise and inspect restaurants, washrooms, marina, gaming areas, offices, outdoor, back area, pantry, staircase and lift landings as per Wynn Al Marjan Island’s standards.
• Supervise deep cleaning and special task schedules, ensuring all public areas are cleaned as per resort standards.
• Supervise and report to the Assistant Manager – Public Area regarding the upkeep and damage of any furnishings, facilities, and equipment.
• Carry out good communication with team members, ensuring performance is effectively managed.
• Supervise team attends to duty in proper uniform, on time and well groomed.
• Supervise and train usage of equipment to reduce maintenance costs.
• Monitor and ensure housekeeping procedures are kept updated and in accordance with health and safety policies for personnel and guests.
• Identify low performance colleagues and provide necessary training to develop them.
• Have full knowledge of resort layout of resort public area, corridors, storage space and back of house areas.
• Report and follow‑up with management for reupholster of sofa cushion.
• Monitor and maintain supplies in pantries on guest floors.
• Supervise training needs within the department and carry out on‑the‑job training when required.
• Be fully trained in resort emergency procedures and first aid as per resort standards.
• Supervise and train new joiners.
• Monitor and counsel low performers on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate and report correctly all issues, incidents or malfunctions as per resort standards.
• Provide flexibility in working hours and scheduling as per resort requirements.
• Conduct disciplinary action and coaching of colleagues when necessary.
• Have full knowledge of attendant task and area allocation.
• Maintain records of all missing/broken equipment and inventory items in allocated areas.
• Supervise daily and monthly projects in allocated sections.
• Supervise and guide during usage of high‑level cleaning and during usage of acid chemicals.
• Report all maintenance and follow up with technician.
• Ensure special amenities are kept in washroom during VIP guest visit for conference center or the restaurant.
• Be aware of every standard required as per FORBES 5star classification guide and ensure strict implementation of the standards in all areas.
• Conduct training and regular inspections based on the Forbes checklists to ensure team is in line with the requirements and is always striving for perfection.
