Job description

Lead and manage a team of 15-20 grocery store supervisors across a geographical area.

Supervise performance of in-store grocery order fulfillment process - pick, pack and handover to riders.

Ensure strict adherence to food handling and packing SOPs.

Ensure best-in-class operational metrics - order preparation time, picker utilization, item replacement compliance, and item out of stock etc. while ensuring customer experience is not compromised.

Develop store specific processes / workflows where required to ensure efficient store operations.

Handle real-time coordination with customer care and rider teams to ensure orders are dispatched on time and resolve customer complaints, if any.

Work closely with 3PLs - picker recruitment, training, and performance management.

Manage rostering of pickers and store supervisors to ensure shift coverage and efficient operations.

Manage performance, coach, and train store supervisors.

  1. 5-7 years previous job experience in order fulfillment and management of pickers.
  2. 2-3 years' experience of order fulfillment operations in grocery stores.
  3. Data driven decision making - Comfortable with Excel / Google sheet and dashboards.
  4. Basic food handling experience.
  5. Has managed a large team of pickers before.
  6. Well organized, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Open minded; continually seeks to find new and creative ways to accomplish tasks.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
