Job Summary

As a Supervisor – Banquets at DELANO Dubai, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences across banquets, private functions, and special events. Combining strong operational knowledge, leadership, and a genuine passion for hospitality, you will oversee daily banquet service operations, guide the team, and ensure every event is executed seamlessly, reflecting the distinctive luxury and sophistication of DELANO Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Banquet Operations: Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquets, private functions, meetings, and special events, ensuring every detail meets event specifications and DELANO Dubai's luxury service standards.
• Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional, personalised service by anticipating guest needs, responding promptly to requests, and resolving concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Team Leadership: Guide, motivate, and support banquet colleagues throughout events, ensuring clear communication, effective task allocation, and consistent service delivery.
• Event Coordination: Work closely with the Banquet Manager, event planning teams, kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely execution of all event requirements.
• Service Excellence: Monitor food and beverage service, table settings, venue presentation, and overall event flow, maintaining impeccable standards throughout each function.
• Operational Planning: Review event orders, function sheets, guest requirements, and service arrangements to ensure the team is fully prepared for each event.
• Inventory & Equipment: Oversee the proper handling, storage, and replenishment of banquet equipment, linen, glassware, and service supplies while minimising wastage.
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
• Training & Development: Support the onboarding, coaching, and development of banquet colleagues, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Luxury Experience: You have proven experience in banquet operations within a luxury hotel, high-end hospitality venue, or premium events environment, ideally with previous supervisory or team-leading responsibilities.
• Leadership Skills: You have the ability to inspire, guide, and motivate a diverse team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Exceptional Service Skills: Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to engage confidently with guests, event organisers, and colleagues, ensuring personalised and professional service.
• Operational Knowledge: You possess a strong understanding of banquet operations, event setups, food and beverage service standards, function sheets, and event coordination, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Organisation & Problem‑Solving: You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and confident in making operational decisions, remaining calm and solution‑focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Educational Background: A relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Operations, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
