Job summary

TalentOne in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior Mechanical/Piping Lead to supervise subcontractors, manage schedules and ensure HSE compliance. The role covers mechanical, piping and HVAC installation across oil & gas EPC projects with international exposure.

You will review drawings, method statements and P&IDs, coordinate with clients and vendors, and drive timely commissioning and turnover. English fluency and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of mechanical/piping site experience with international Oil & Gas EPC companies and subcontractors.
• 15+ years HVAC experience for HVAC-focused roles.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API codes and industry standards.
• Excellent subcontractor management, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractor supervision; monitor manpower, equipment, productivity and daily progress.
• Manage 90-day look-ahead and weekly construction schedules.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, ITPs, QCPs, drawings and project specifications.
• Supervise mechanical equipment, rotating equipment, piping and HVAC installation.
• Review method statements, drawings, P&IDs and technical queries.
• Coordinate inspections, walkdowns, punch-list closure and pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Client, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Identify delays, scope changes and technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and support commissioning and turnover.
• Coach and mentor site supervision and ensure effective workforce development.

• Excellent subcontractor management, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
  
• Fluent written and spoken English; proficient in MS Office.Lifting and scaffolding supervision training preferred.
