Job summary

TalentOne in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Lead to oversee mechanical, piping, HVAC, insulation and related activities on major Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will supervise subcontractors, manage schedules, ensure HSE compliance and coordinate with client and Vendors to drive safe, high-quality construction and timely turnover.

The role requires 15+ years of experience in mechanical/piping and HVAC for relevant projects, strong knowledge of ASME and API codes, and

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Mechanical/Piping site experience in international Oil & Gas EPC companies and subcontractors.
• 15+ years HVAC experience for HVAC-focused roles.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API codes and industry standards.
• Excellent subcontractor management, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; proficient in MS Office.
• Lifting and scaffolding supervision training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractor supervision and monitor manpower, equipment, productivity and daily progress.
• Manage 90-day look-ahead and weekly construction schedules.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, ITPs, QCPs, drawings and project specifications.
• Supervise mechanical equipment, rotating equipment, piping and HVAC installation.
• Review method statements, drawings, P&IDs and technical queries.
• Coordinate inspections, walkdowns, punch-list closure and pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Client, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Identify delays, scope changes and technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and support commissioning and turnover.
• Coach and mentor site supervision and ensure effective workforce development.
