Field Service Engineer (Pump Equipment) - Full Time - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (Pump Equipment) to join our ServicesEUA team in the United Arab Emirates.

Sulzer Middle East is looking for a Field Service Engineer responsible for the overhaul, repair, installation & commissioning of pump equipment to support our client base in the Middle East. Preparing, coordinating, and carrying out inspections and repairs of all pump types at customer sites inside and outside the country within the specified time and at the estimated cost.

The position is home-based or UAE-based requiring travel back and forth to the Middle East upon business needs.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

1. Carrying out repairs and inspections inside and outside the country at customer sites.
2. Provision of safe and effective site and workshop overhaul, repair, installation, and commissioning services for all rotating equipment.
3. Be the first point of contact for allocated customers regarding any issues relating to agreed onsite scopes of work.
4. Develop strong relationships with key client contacts.
5. Be responsible for onsite Health & Safety.
6. Compile onsite Risk Assessments for scopes of work.
7. Lead and supervise onsite repair teams during site contracts.
8. Provide continuous improvement in repair, installation, and commissioning activities.
9. Develop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimize further service opportunities.
10. Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions.
11. Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
12. Compile comprehensive site reports in line with the company quality management system.
13. Communicate (in English as well) with Supervisor, Field Service Site Manager, contractors, and internal Sulzer Turbo Services departments.
14. Write daily reports.
15. Work with: PC, MS Office package, telephone, hand tools, lifting equipment, gear induction equipment, welding and cutting equipment, Sulzer regulations, OEM instructions, customer rules and regulations, and local safety regulations.

To succeed in this role you will need:

1. Relevant experience of a minimum of 10 years working on centrifugal pumps (API610) and rotating equipment.
2. Proficient in English.
3. Experience working in the Middle East.
4. Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data.
