Back Office Engineer - Full Time - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a Back Office Engineer to join our FEWIBU team in the United Arab Emirates.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Assist distributors and direct customers in preparing quotations for complex products and applications, negotiating tier 1 project orders, and coordinating with the sales support team in Europe.
• Prepare tenders and offers technically and commercially in close cooperation with outdoor sales engineers, authorized dealers, and customers, mainly in the Gulf region.
• Evaluate customer pump application requirements to ensure the company can meet customer needs regarding products and pricing.
• Work closely with designers on complex municipal projects to support their work and specify Sulzer products whenever possible.
• Manage technical and commercial negotiations with customers to maximize order conversion while respecting the delegation of authority (D.O.A.) in collaboration with other support functions.
• Maintain proper reporting with your direct superior and utilize company tools (Quotation Tool, CRM, SAP, etc.) diligently, following WIBUs and company guidelines.
• Clarify demanding technical questions.
• Maintain regular contact with customers mainly via phone or email.
• Handle and process projects and orders in SAP, from quotation elaboration to deadline tracking, coordination, monitoring, and invoicing.
• Maintain regular contact with Sulzer Water & Industry BU factories.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and end-user specifications.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Education: Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales support application engineer or tendering engineer in multinational companies, mainly in wastewater and water treatment equipment manufacturing. Knowledge in chemical, food, fertilizers, and PPI is an advantage.
• Experience in wastewater water treatment.
• Arabic speaker (preferable).
• Strong commercial and time management skills, result-oriented, ambitious, excellent relational and negotiating skills, good knowledge of main computer tools, and ability to work remotely in a team.
