Job summary

Bukhash Brothers in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Translation Intern to support subtitle and translation workflow for #ABtalks episodes. You will collaborate with Release and Post-Production teams to ensure subtitles are accurate, well-formatted, and ready for publication across languages and platforms.

This role is ideal for someone with strong language skills, attention to detail, and an interest in media, translation, and subtitling.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing written content.
• Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and natural phrasing.
• Ability to understand context and translate meaning rather than relying on literal translation.
• Comfortable learning and working with AI-powered transcription and translation tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review episode subtitle files for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall quality.
• Review translations to ensure they reflect meaning, tone, and context of original dialogue.
• Work with SRT subtitle files, including reviewing, correcting, formatting, and preparing them for delivery.
• Generate subtitles using AI subtitle and translation tools, and review the output.
• Support creation of subtitles across multiple languages using approved source files.
• Check subtitle timing, synchronization, line breaks, and readability against final episode.
• Identify and correct inconsistencies in names, terminology, expressions, and formatting.
• Support organization and management of subtitle files across episodes and languages.
• Coordinate with Release team to meet episode release schedules and deadlines.
• Carry out final quality-control checks on subtitle files before release.
