Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in the UAE seeks a Project Engineering Manager to oversee engineering activities on substation projects, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence. You will coordinate Civil, Structural, MEP & Instrumentation teams and drive quick delivery with margins.

The role requires deep design experience in GIS/AIS substations up to 765 kV, BOM estimation, BIM implementation, and leadership of Design Leads and Draughtsmen across geographies.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech. in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• 12+ years of experience predominantly in design aspects of Substation Construction and leading engineers in execution of multiple projects
• Tendering experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Planning Manager and ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule
• Conduct regular project review meetings and ensure adherence to schedule
• Review designs, calculations & drawings and ensure timely submissions after approvals from customer
• Clarification of issues with vendors and ensuring timely delivery of materials at site
• Lead and manage team of Design Leads, Design Engineers and Draughts persons
• Enable & review accurate estimation in terms of quantity for BOM submission
• Ensure BIM implementation in the projects
• Support procurement and vendor engineering for order finalization
