Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Design Lead (Primary) with 10+ years of experience in primary design engineering for AIS/GIS substations. The role involves reviewing and executing primary engineering activities, BIM modeling, and coordinating with electrical, civil, MEP, and site teams across multiple geographies.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of design engineers, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain high quality and adherence to client requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in primary design engineering.
• Knowledge of substation layout engineering and BIM modeling.
• Experience coordinating across electrical, civil, MEP and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and assign work to team members.
• Ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents per project schedule.
• Coordinate with international and local teams for approvals and translations.
• Provide technical support during pre-bid, design, and commissioning phases.
