Job summary

TRACTEBEL in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (Substation) to supervise civil works for high‑voltage substations within the Transmission & Distribution department. You will assist the Resident Engineer, perform site inspections, coordinate with technical disciplines, and ensure compliance with drawings and safety requirements during project execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 8 years’ UAE experience in substation civil

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
Minimum 8 years’ experience in civil engineering projects, with proven experience in substation civil works in the UAE.

Responsibilities

Assist the Resident Engineer in day-to-day supervision of substation civil works.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify contractor performance and compliance with drawings and approved methods.
Liaise with all technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings.
Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and construction-related documents.
Monitor and witness construction and testing activities to ensure contract compliance.
Support final inspections, completion certification, and handover of works.
Ensure effective implementation of safety measures on site.
