Job description

Subcontracts Engineer / Sr Contracts Engineer

Job Location: UAE

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, review and negotiate the Subcontract Agreements with the Subcontractors.
  2. Ensure that the Subcontract Agreements are comprehensive, clear, and legally sound.
  3. Maintain a database of all contracts and subcontracts and ensure they are up-to-date.
  4. Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  5. Prepare and manage the Subcontract amendments, notices, terminations, and disputes.
  6. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to contract management.
  7. Prepare, review, and monitor the contractual correspondences and ensure the notices are issued in accordance with the contract.
  8. Provide regular reports to senior management on contract performance, risks, and opportunities.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Typically a bachelor's degree in law, civil engineering with contracts experience, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., RICS, Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)) are often preferred.

Experience: 10 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in contract conditions, understanding of legal terminology, and strong analytical skills.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
