Job Description
Develop and manage subcontracts for construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential subcontractors, assessing their capabilities and past performance.
Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing bids and negotiating terms to secure the best value for the organization.
Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms, timelines, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align subcontracting strategies with overall project objectives and timelines.
Implement and manage risk assessment processes for subcontract agreements, identifying potential issues and establishing mitigation strategies.
Facilitate effective communication between subcontractors and project teams to resolve issues and streamline project execution.
Maintain accurate documentation of subcontractor agreements, changes, and performance metrics for auditing purposes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all subcontracting activities.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on subcontractor performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontract management within the oil & gas construction sector is required, with the ability to handle subcontract agreements.
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Manager or equivalent) are highly regarded.
Experience with contract negotiation and management, specifically in large-scale projects, is crucial.
