Job summary

HKS Architects seeks a Studio Design Leader to advance Design Excellence across the studio, leading design dialogues and guiding teams on multiple concurrent projects.

The role focuses on developing leadership in collaboration, client engagement, and delivery of high-quality documentation in line with strategic priorities. Travel and cross-studio coordination are expected to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture or related field.
• Licensure or certification in chosen field preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of experience, including leadership in project work and talent development.
• Significant experience in the practice area of the studio.
• Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
• Familiarity with design-related software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Advance Design Excellence as defined by the Design Enterprise in the studio.
• Lead or participate in critical design dialog across project teams.
• Grow leadership skills in relationship-building and collaboration.
• Support project design leaders and teams while aligning with strategic plan.
