Job summary

A Group is seeking a School Counsellor to support students’ academic, emotional, social, and personal development within a Dubai school. The role focuses on creating a safe, positive environment and guiding students through challenges with professional confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counselling or psychology; relevant school experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students.
• Identify students facing academic, behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
• Conduct assessments and maintain confidential student records.
• Develop counselling and student-support plans.
• Support students with career, academic, and educational planning.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to address student concerns.
• Handle student crises and provide referrals to external professionals when required.
• Organise workshops on stress management, study skills, relationships, wellbeing, and career awareness.
• Monitor student progress and provide follow-up support.
• Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, mental wellbeing, and safeguarding.
