Job summary

Smart Vision School is seeking a School Counsellor in Dubai to support the social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of students. You will provide confidential counselling, develop wellbeing programmes, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment aligned with UAE and KHDA guidelines.

The role involves collaboration with families, staff, and external professionals, delivering preventative programmes, and maintaining professional standards and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
• Recognised counselling qualification or professional certification.
• Minimum two years’ experience working with children or adolescents.
• Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential individual and group counselling to students.
• Support the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Deliver workshops and wellbeing sessions on topics such as emotional wellbeing and resilience.
• Collaborate with teachers, leadership, and inclusion staff to support students effectively.
• Maintain professional boundaries and accurate records in line with policy.
