Job summary

Gems Education UAE is seeking a qualified School Counsellor to provide essential support for student wellbeing in Dubai. The role requires the ability to conduct individual and group counselling sessions, develop comprehensive support plans, and collaborate with teachers and parents.

Qualifications

• Practical experience working with children or adolescents in school or clinical settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection frameworks.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Experience within UAE schools is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group counselling sessions for students.
• Support crisis situations and develop individual intervention plans.
• Design and deliver school-wide wellbeing programmes and awareness campaigns.
• Work closely with teachers and parents to identify and support student needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in line with safeguarding policies.
• Promote mental health awareness and resilience across the school community.
