Job summary

Taaleem is seeking a School Counsellor to support the social, emotional, personal and academic growth of students. The role works with teachers, parents, and the community to access resources, create learning plans and promote wellbeing.

The Counsellor will deliver individual and group counselling, crisis support, and coordinate referrals while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to the school’s safeguarding and inclusion initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Communicate, build relationships and inspire confidence in all stakeholders
• Provide counselling to individual students and small groups
• Assist with crisis counselling and support for emotional wellbeing
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with external professionals
• Maintain confidential student records and reports
• Support teachers and parents with planning and learning strategies
• Promote equity, safeguarding and inclusive practices across the school
