Post: Student Recruitment Manager
Position Summary
The Manager of Student Recruitment is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive student recruitment and communication plans designed to meet annual enrollment targets.This role involves identifying new potential markets, conducting market analyses, and preparing intelligence reports to support strategic planning. The manager will expand and strengthen the university’s network within secondary education communities and foster relationships with stakeholders at local, regional, and international levels.
Additionally, the manager participates in the development of operational and strategic plans for the Office of Enrollment Management, implements special initiatives, introduces innovative student recruitment methodologies, and contributes to the preparation and updating of informational materials and marketing collateral. Furthermore, the manager coordinates with academic and administrative units—particularly the Strategic Communications and Marketing team, the Scholarships and Financial Grants Office, the Sponsorships Liaison Office, and associate deans—to ensure the effective implementation of student recruitment plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing annual local and regional student recruitment plans and managing their execution.
- Participate in recruitment events.
- Provide advising services to prospective students and parents and respond to various inquiries.
- Review and assist in preparing recruitment and enrollment periodic reports.
- Liaise with other departments at AUS, high schools, and event organizers.
- Participate in the execution of communication plans—particularly with leads—to improve conversion rates within the admission funnel.
- Supervise undergraduate evaluation procedures conducted by admission staff and conduct final reviews and approvals of admission applications.
- Monitor developments and changes in secondary education systems, qualifications, and credentials.
- Develop equivalency tables.
- Participate in operational and workflow improvements.
Qualifications And Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Communication, Education, or a related field. A master’s level is an advantage.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
- Willing to travel and work outside regular work hours and on weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and school counselors.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for representing the institution at recruitment events, fairs, and school visits.
- Proficiency in data analysis to evaluate recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions
- Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple recruitment campaigns and events simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to attract prospective students.
- Adaptability to varying workloads and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in event management and networking.
- Commitment to prioritizing customer service and ethical business practices, while respecting cultural sensitivities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, admissions software, and tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment targets.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and in international recruitment.
