Job summary

University of Birmingham Dubai is seeking a Recruitment & Business Development role to lead UAE-based student recruitment activity, organise events and visits, and support admissions processing. The post involves travel across the UAE, collaboration with teams in Dubai and the UK, and close work with external partners and sponsors.

The role requires experience in HE recruitment, CRM use, excellent communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to a Bachelor’s qualification or equivalent work experience demonstrating relevant skills.
• Experience in a student recruitment or HE environment.
• Experience using a CRM system preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and the ability to manage projects at all levels.
• Experience interpreting data and using Excel effectively.
• Experience supporting complex internal and external events.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience liaising with diverse stakeholders, including senior managers and academics.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience using social media professionally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
• Creative and innovative problem solving approach.
• Flexibility to work outside hours when required.
• Experience administering budgets and payments; familiarity with foreign payments.
• Experience reviewing student applications and using NARIC.

Responsibilities

• Recruit UAE-based students and support delivery of a business development strategy.
• Organise internal and external events and visits related to recruitment.
• Represent the University at recruitment events and manage applicant visits.
• Travel around the UAE; may work weekends/holidays and hold a UAE driving license.
• Coordinate Open Days and large recruitment events with internal teams.
• Support admissions processing and liaison with sponsors and agencies.
• Analyse enquiries, applications and enrolments and share insights with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate meeting minutes and provide administrative support to Recruitment Manager.
