Job summary

University of Birmingham Dubai is seeking to enhance the student experience by designing and delivering inclusive wellbeing and engagement initiatives. The role focuses on proactive welfare support, guidance and a wide range of pre-arrival and on-campus activities to improve belonging and success.

The post requires a degree or equivalent and substantial experience in a professional environment, preferably in Higher Education.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification(s).
• Significant experience of working in a professional environment; relevant experience in Higher Education desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles for adults at risk and under 18s, with awareness of relevant OfS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate inclusive student-centred initiatives that enhance wellbeing, engagement, belonging and success.
• Provide proactive wellbeing and welfare support, guidance and advice to students.
• Lead and contribute to Welcome, induction, transition programmes and involvement in student engagement activities.
• Coordinate programme administration and services related to the student journey.
• Collaborate with Academic skills support and Careers on employability outcomes.
• Support general student administration through to graduation.
