Job description

Are you looking to join a high performing sales team? We are currently seeking a highly driven, energetic Dubai-based Sales Director to cover Intermediary Clients in the region. The role focuses on business development and relationship management with global and regional private banks and Independent Asset Managers in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

What would your role be?
  1. Collaborate with the Head of Structured Solutions Financial Institutions (based in Switzerland) to develop and implement a regional business development and relationship management strategy targeting private banks and Independent Asset Managers in the DIFC.
  2. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of key business and strategic issues facing financial institutions in the DIFC, UAE, and across the Middle East.
  3. Forge strong relationships within and across client organizations to drive commercial results.
  4. Acquire and service new and existing clients.
  5. Market Vontobel's full range of Structured Products and Multi Issuer Platform Services to the assigned client base.
  6. Develop and execute a business plan to identify prospects and increase sales across product capabilities.
  7. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and conduct business in line with best practices, taking appropriate actions when necessary.
What are we looking for?
  • Self-confident, robust, decisive, trustworthy, with excellent judgment on client matters.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter capable of working independently and in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to drive commercial success.
  • Deep knowledge of Derivatives and Structured Products.
  • Strong technological aptitude, especially regarding usability.
  • An innovative thinker who can promote new ideas and initiatives among peers and investors.
  • Confident presenter, comfortable speaking in front of large audiences.
  • Client-centric mindset, diligent, with the ability to meet fast turnaround times.
  • A collegiate team player experienced in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic skills are a plus.
  • Extensive network within the DIFC financial industry and strong networking skills.
  • At least 5 years of proven sales or client servicing experience within the financial industry.
