Job Purpose
Assists the Engineer to perform maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and Third Party aircraft undergoing Line & Base Maintenance Checks, including inspections, repairs, component replacement, and records work according to standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Result Responsibilities
Operational Excellence

  • Reviews assigned task cards with the Engineer to understand work scope, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting.
  • Prepares and performs scheduled maintenance as per task cards, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are used.
  • Identifies and records defects or damage following approved maintenance procedures.
  • Performs structure and composite repairs as instructed, following approved data and procedures.
  • Draws necessary tooling/equipment from stores, ensuring they are returned in good condition.
  • Reports task status regularly to the Engineer-in-Charge and alerts of any issues.
  • Maintains high standards of housekeeping during all tasks.
Safety
  • Ensures all safety precautions are taken during maintenance tasks.
  • Uses proper GSE and protective equipment to safeguard self and others.
  • Follows human factors procedures, including work interruption protocols and adequate lighting.
Reputation and Teamwork
  • Provides support and helpful information to team and other departments.
  • Represents Air Arabia professionally to external personnel and customers.
Cost Awareness
  • Maintains awareness of maintenance costs, minimizing waste and avoiding unnecessary damage or rework.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Structure & Composite Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
  • Proficient in English for technical communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.
Work Experience
External applicants
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sheet & metal maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance/MRO workshop environment.
  • Solid understanding of Structure & Composite Maintenance theory and practice.
