About The Role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Structural Inspector responsible for inspecting all structural components related to Highrise Buildings projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards within the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Check site conditions for suitability prior to construction and identify obstructions.
• Monitor contractor quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports when necessary.
• Prepare daily progress reports on inspections and work executed, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Review materials for conformance with approved samples and ensure proper storage.
• Develop and maintain the Quality Management System and Plan in line with legislation and contract requirements.
• Observe and record work execution in accordance with approved methods.
• Check setting-out and levels.
• Monitor site safety procedures and contractor safety performance, raising non-conformance reports as needed.
• Assist in preparing As Built drawings.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or relevant engineering field.
• Relevant experience in construction supervision of Highrise Buildings, particularly in the UAE.
• Experience with Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection aspects of construction.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is preferred.
