Job summary

Egis Group in Dubai is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (Bridges & Tunnels) to lead maintenance and rehabilitation of bridges and tunnels. You will manage site activities, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering background with 10 years of experience in bridges and tunnels, proficiency with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on bridges and tunnels.
• Proven experience in maintenance and rehabilitation works within the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of engineering codes and standards related to structural integrity and maintenance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000 and other structural analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients and stakeholders.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site activities ensuring optimal resources manpower and equipment.
• Develop and implement planning strategies for maintenance and rehabilitation works of bridges and tunnels.
• Monitor project progress identify potential risks and take corrective measures to ensure timely completion.
• Study technical documents specifications and project requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare technical proposals method statements and engineering solutions for structural maintenance and rehabilitation.
• Ensure all engineering solutions align with project specifications regulatory requirements and client expectations.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients representatives ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
• Coordinate with subcontractors suppliers and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of site activities.
• Conduct regular progress meetings resolving technical issues and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Implement and enforce QHSE policies to ensure safe and compliant site operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of QHSE compliance at the site.
