Job description

Charterhouse are partnered with a leading global Engineering and Architecture Consultancy, who is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team in the UAE. From preparing technical reports and structural calculations to reviewing shop drawings and attending client meetings, this role offers full exposure to project lifecyclesfrom concept to site delivery.

About the role

The Structural Engineer will be involved in the design, review, and supervision of building and infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other design consultants to ensure that all solutions are fully integrated and buildable. The Structural Engineer will review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals, as well as attend technical meetings with clients, local authorities, and contractors.

This role will also perform regular site inspections to ensure structural elements are implemented as per approved drawings and specifications. The Structural Engineer will support the resolution of any structural issues that arise during the design and construction phases, while ensuring full compliance with UAE building regulations and international standards such as ACI, BS, and Eurocode.

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant design and supervision experience within the UAE, ideally in a consultancy environment. A strong understanding of UAE local authority approval processes is essential. The successful candidate will be proficient in key engineering software including AutoCAD, Revit and RFEM / RSTAB.
