Job description

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Civil Engineer with a valid G+12 license from Dubai Municipality to oversee structural design and manage renovation, warehouse, and low-rise construction projects throughout Dubai and the Emirates.

Role Overview:
This position requires expertise in technical engineering design, coordination of compliance with regulatory authorities, and field supervision, all in accordance with UAE regulations and our company standards.

• Lead the structural and civil design processes, including engineering calculations and project planning

• Review and create technical drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and method statements

• Conduct site visits, supervise project execution, attend inspections, and ensure compliance with DM-approved drawings and local standards

• Collaborate with Dubai Municipality and other authorities (Trakhees, DDA, DCD) to secure NOCs, permits, and conduct inspections

• Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures and address engineering challenges on-site

• Ensure compliance with BS, ACI, ASTM, UL, and UAE building codes

• Support estimation teams and provide guidance to commercial staff on constructability and risk assessment

• Mentor junior civil and structural engineers and contribute to the development of team capabilities

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Valid Dubai Municipality G+12 license and UAE driving license (required)

• At least 10 years of experience in structural engineering (designsupervision) within the UAE, covering residential, commercial, and industrial projects

• Excellent communication skills in English (required); proficiency in Arabic is a plus

• Proficient in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, Revit, and other relevant design tools

• Strong understanding of BS, ACI, UL, ASTM, and local UAE codes

• Solid knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the ability to integrate it into the company’s workflows and teams
