Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LGS/CFS Detailer with hands-on experience in cold-formed steel (CFS) structures using VERTEX BD software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and detailing structural elements such as wall panels, trusses, and floor systems for residential and commercial buildings. The candidate must demonstrate a strong technical understanding of steel detailing, fabrication processes, and structural standards, ensuring accurate, cost-effective, and buildable design packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and detail cold-formed steel (CFS) structures using VERTEX BD software.
• Generate precise and comprehensive fabrication and erection drawings for wall frames, trusses, and floor systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of project deliverables.
• Optimize design layouts to align with production capabilities and reduce material waste.
• Prepare and review Bills of Materials (BOMs), construction specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with production, assembly, and erection teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct quality checks to maintain compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Support onsite teams with technical advice during the installation and erection phases.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant codes, particularly American steel design standards.

Contribute to continuous improvement of detailing workflows and processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E Civil).
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in CFS detailing and design, with practical experience using VERTEX BD software.
• Proficient in VERTEX BD (Structure and Detailer modules).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cold-formed steel components including framing, flooring, and trusses.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication, production workflows, and factory setups.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings effectively.
• Good communication and organizational skills to work independently and collaboratively.
