Job summary

Spacetech Engineering Consultancy Services LLC seeks a structural engineer to lead design and analysis for villas, warehouses, and commercial projects in the UAE. You will model gravity, lateral, and seismic loads, and ensure designs meet local and international standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Eng and 5–6 years of UAE/GCC experience, with strong skills in ETABS/STAAD, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–6+ years in structural design and assessment in the UAE/GCC.
• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, project management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• UAE Driving Licence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for villas, warehouses, commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

• Design foundations and retaining structures per geotechnical guidance.
• Perform assessments, inspections, and load capacity analyses for renovations.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specs, and documentation per codes.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, geotechnical teams, contractors, clients.
• Review geotechnical reports and recommend systems.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare drawings for submissions to Dubai Municipality and UAE authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regs and fire safety standards.
• Liaise with consultants/authorities to resolve issues and secure approvals.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for villas, warehouses, commercial, residential, and industrial projects using reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structural systems.
• Perform structural modelling and analysis using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent software for gravity, lateral, and seismic loads.
• Design shallow foundations, raft foundations, pile foundations, retaining structures, and other foundation systems based on geotechnical recommendations.
• Conduct structural assessments, integrity evaluations, visual inspections, and load capacity analyses for renovation, retrofitting, and change-of-use projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and engineering documentation in accordance with ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Review geotechnical investigation reports and recommend appropriate structural and foundation systems.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with approved structural designs, and provide technical support.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design team members.
• Prepare structural drawings and documentation for submissions to Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, and other UAE authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, fire safety requirements, and international engineering standards.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and government authorities to resolve technical issues and secure project approvals.

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5-6 years of progressive experience in structural design and structural assessment within the UAE or GCC region.
• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, project management, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• A valid UAE Driving License will be an added advantage.
